Gave up my blades for quads and DCDD in Feb 2010 and haven't looked back!

...holding a musket and staring down danger? If that's not available, I do like to jam...
Most memorable moment? (not just skating)
I can't decide between dancing in the rain and lightning at Falls Festival to Midnight Juggernauts or New Years at the Brandenburg gate... Publishing my first paper and my first big night out with the DCDD ladies were also pretty hard to top.
If you were down to your last $20 what would you spend it on?
Pizza and Beer.
How do you like your steak?
With beer battered fat chips and mushroom sauce... mmm steak...
If you could invite 3 people around for dinner, who would they be and why?
I would invite Jane Krakowski over for beers with my derby wife Vivienne Vicious and my derby widow MattyJ - much laughter would ensue!

I'm Slew and I've been born and raised in Bendigo. I'm presently studing to get my PhD - I have been for a while and probably will be for a while longer. I love science and I'm always trying to figure something out - hence the name Nancy Slew. I joined DCDD in February 2010 and I haven't looked back! For me, derby can turn a stressful and awful day into the best day of my week. The women and men that I have met though derby are amazing and have truly inspired me in so many ways. I feel very special to be a part of such a great sport. xx
